How do you create an amiable 'beast' whose size seems to scare everyone away? You design a gnu and you invite birds to the party.
How was my scene created? I didn't really have a reference, however I did have a vision of what a gnu looked like in my imagination. I created the skeleton, outlined the enormous shoulders and back muscles first and then when the body was done, I completed the head.
These are my little Twinkie Birds. What are they doing? They are teaching their friend how to graze and act like all the other gnus.
The birds enjoy riding the Gnu's back while it walks through the grasslands.
