What do you use to process your ideas? It's the number one question that is asked of me.
I don't use a lot of tools because as an illustrator, I am already able to draw most of my visuals. But there are some programs that I can't live without. You might be familiar with them already.
Project Management:
- Monday or Trello for scheduling simple tasks
Notion or Google docs for archiving material & Discord for Q&A and discussions
Basic excel sheets and powerpoint to present 'stuff'.
Scheduler: Doodle or Calendly
Others:
- Research (Visual or Gameplay): Pinterest & Twitch or youtube to watch - I don't have much time to play games anymore but I like seeing how other people are using mechanics. My fav games: limbo, Gris (and old-fashioned FLOW of course), Angry Birds (I completed all the levels in one play - lol!) Casual games are great for dopamine hits...There was a time in my life where I did concept art for gamified entertainment ... ex Hershey's kisses candy games anyone?
- Miro for ideas and mood boards and sometimes ShapesXR for storyboards but as an illustrator, I usually hand-draw the storyboards myself or use google tiltbrush to fill in the spatial visuals.
- Arcweave for small narratives (Thanks A!)
- If I have to draw a concept for a walk-through, I create it in Meta Horizon Worlds. Blocking the world with primitives is usually enough to give a sense of where people are.
- Photoshop for composing on top of environment pics.
Presentations:
Canva, powerpoint ... all the basics I guess sprinkled with a bit of AI.
Stuff I'm interested in? AI of course. I've spent a fortune on credits already... it doesn't end!
Here is one of my Suno songs: Whiskey on my Shoulder
notebooklm -  I have since to figure this out but I'm learning from the smart kids at circlesofai.com
Kaiber.ai - it's all about videos for fun and play!

If you have any suggestions or if I'm forgetting anything that you think that I should know, please share! That would be nice. Thank you!
