A Tribute to Black Panther
2020 has not been an easy year and what made it especially hard was witnessing the passing of Chadwick Boseman (August 29 2020). At only age 43, Boseman succumbed to cancer after taking up the hero's mantle for BLM. His legacy on and off screen has afforded him a very special place in all our hearts. We will miss you King T'Challa. Wakanda Forever.
The Story: I created the moment King T'Challa crosses over to the 'other' side. Armed with his heart and his torch of faith, he is able to enter Paradise with the knowledge that he touched many many people in his short life.
I have used cloud effects and soft brushes to create that 'dream-like after-life' state and decided on a muted palette with typically 'futuristic' colors of pinks and blues mixed with cool earth tones.
My forte in tiltbrush is the ability to paint realistic humans and to create 'dream-like' scenes. It is not an easy process as each brush stroke has to be applied individually to create a whole. Everything I know about human anatomy comes from years of sketching and observing humans in stillness and in action.
