I drew this piece using pen and ink in a flurry of about 27 hours. It depicts a 'monster' much like the Sirens of old tempting the world of 'man' with a bobble that looks very similar to an apple. The story actually begins with the apple and the bait and moves from left to right. This piece questions our symbollic understanding of beauty/truth and evil and the way all of these archetypes have been represented throughout history.
Before I drew the final copy, I think that I must have sketched about eighteen rendered copies. This is one of them. When my friend first saw it, he explained, "it's the perfect tattoo piece!". I found the idea to be pretty thrilling!
